I was not backpedalling when I said that my comments about the poor, uneducated underclass wasn't about the folks in the gulf coast. It's the truth. I do hate the whole "woe is me, I'm poor and the government should do more for me" mentality the poor, uneducated underclass seems to hang onto so dearly. I think that people can help themselves, change their own damn lives, make their situations better for their families. But I think they've got to choose to. And I don't think the answer is to continue to provide them with all the crap they've come to believe they are entitled to.

This is what I've been missing? Sad.
I would have expected a discussion of evacuee fashion at the very least, or, whether it is better to give comfortable clothes to evacuee friends or clothes to help them rebuild their lost wardrobes so they can find new jobs in Texas.
