Apparently, this was a breakthrough in the porn industry, as public premieres aren't often done, even in the soulless hellhole known as West Hollywood. Turns out that most of the audience got bored with the cinematography, plot, acting, or who knows what about 30 mins in.

I tried to find on google the line from Boogie Nights where Jack Horner shares with Eddie and Roller Girl and Maggie his dream of making a porn so good that "after they've cum, the audience has to sit there, in their own jizz, because they want to see how the movie ends."
Alas, I had to paraphrase. But it sounds like "Pirates" didn't do it.
