It is here that "sultana" usually means a Turkish light-colored rasin. In Britain, sultana commonly just means a rasin of any color.
Then again, in Britain I noticed they also refer to South Asian people as "black," so perhaps they just aren't as concerned as we are about distinguishing gradations of skin color generally.
