Any suggestions? Fiction or non-fiction is fine. No Ayn Rand or books by people who yell on TV for a living.
Thanks!

I'm working my way through Robert Wilson's stuff. His books featuring Bruce Medway (A Darkening Stain, The Big Killing, Blood is Dirt) are detective novels set in West Africa (Ivory Coast, Nigeria, and Benin) invovling lots of killin', corruption, and insight into what a fucked-up area of the world that is.
