The case does involve alleged violations of campaign finance laws. Mr. Delay is a part of the leadership of the U.S. Congress (i.e. the body that passes such laws) and one of the many politicians, candidates, and regular citizens who must abide by them. Surely you would agree that he is not above the law.
Or, do you view laundering money for political donations to be a heroic act of civil disobedience, with Tom Delay as a modern-day Martin Luther King leading the poor, disenfranchised wealthy individuals, corporate contributors, and Congressmen to the promised land? He had a dream? Maybe so, but it ain't exactly the same dream that MLK had.

No - I was only responding to the jail comment. Agreed, he should be out of office, as should every politician that breaks the law - even for a hummer.
