I agree that it's a little harsh, but I don't know that I mean he hasn't lived up to expectations (don't know what the expectations were); I'm just observing that he's not as dominant for the NYY as he was for the Orioles. Don't get me wrong -- I love him; he's reliable, which is key when you never know how the rest of the pitching staff is going to play. However, with the NYY, he has never been as completely dominant as he was when he played for Baltimore. That's all I mean about the performance discount. It seems to have turned one of the games top pitchers into a mere outstanding one. (I know; cry me a river.)
