Stop and think whether the fact that Wonk and I agree on this -- one of whom you know personally, the other of whom you know a fair amount about -- indicates that, even if you mean to limit your comments in the manner you suggest, you are failing to do that.
In other words - when (what you claim is) your message doesn't get through to the audience, it may not be the audience's fault.

Which part of the obvious disclaimers don't you understand? IRL, when someone makes a disparaging remark about republicans, like back in November when you overheard someone say something to the effect of "only an idiot would vote for bush" and if you didn't hear, PM Thurgreed and he will assert it for you, did you correct them. "Now that's not fair, there are lots of plainly intelligent people who voted for Bush"? I doubt it.
Further evidence that you are not someone I am directing the criticism at is, no offence, you don't have skin thick enough to be in political leadership if you take this stuff this personally.
