The Knicks will receive Curry, the veteran forward Antonio Davis and possibly draft picks. For salary-cap purposes, the Knicks will also sign and immediately trade guard Jermaine Jackson to Chicago.
Curry has shown immense promise in four seasons since going directly from high school to the N.B.A. in 2001. At 6 feet 11 inches and 285 pounds, he is strong and athletic and is generally regarded as one of the most talented young big men in the league. Curry averaged 16.1 points and 5.4 rebounds - in just 28.7 minutes a game - last season.
Even if he improves only modestly, Curry will be the most talented center the Knicks have had since Patrick Ewing was in his prime.
But Curry has an enlarged heart and an irregular heartbeat that caused him to miss the final 13 games last season and the playoffs. Curry may have a condition that could prove fatal."

As long as the Knicks keep trading first round picks, the rest of the NBA can breathe a little easier at night. (especially the recipients of those picks).
I think the bigger news is the Rafer Alston for Mike James trade. I predict very good times for the Houston sports media. That's some backcourt -- You've got a crazy man running point along with a guy who wants 40 shots a game (and could go 30-40 with a hand in his face on every shot) at the 2.
Typical Raptors. Talent downgrade for a character upgrade. There's only so much you can do with Mike James and Alvin Williams and Pape Sow. Give Bosh some HELP! PLEASE!
However, the Rafer contract was a joke ($25M for 5 more years), and I'm stunned they found someone to take it.
