Why the Sudden Interest?!?

I do use my husband's name for the kids' school stuff (e.g., when I signed up for a parent/teacher conference today, I used my first and his last name), but it's not "official" or anything. Is this really all that strange?

No, unless your last name is Snodgrass and his is Smith.
My decision to change mine will be based purely on my hypothetical husband's last name. I'm not particularly fond of mine and if I consider the new one an upgrade, I'll take it. If it's worse or comparable, I'm keeping mine. Is that wrong?

Oh, God, yes. We're talking about a totally outrageous paradigm.

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.
