I tried to send a demand letter to a house with no mailbox. I knew it was a good address, but they did not deliver the mail, so if you have a freestanding mailbox, that is an option.

On a less radical note, there is a place you can call to cut down on all the junk mail - Direct Marketing Assn. or something like that.
