Agreed with how the house would play, but it depends on if you are playing to win or to push (while getting free drinks). It is the best time-killing, free-drink-getting, game in the house.
To correct some misconceptions, though, you pay 5% on winning bets, but nothing on losers, so that comes out to around a 2.5% casino edge,
except that the house wins pushes, which happen occasionally on the up hand. If one wants to play seriously, find a table where you can afford to bank every other hand, and do so. That negates the house edge on pushes (and actually gives a reverse edge because you are winning pushes against the other players at the table).
