To correct some misconceptions, though, you pay 5% on winning bets, but nothing on losers, so that comes out to around a 2.5% casino edge,
except
that the house wins pushes, which happen occasionally on the up hand. If one wants to play seriously, find a table where you can afford to bank every other hand, and do so. That negates the house edge on pushes (and actually gives a reverse edge because you are winning pushes against the other players at the table).
Don't think I can do Dec. 16, but I will be there on Jan 6-8, possibly with others from this board (PM me if anyone is interested). And I may be there for the Vegas Bowl if Cal goes.
Good point on the up hand draw. As for the be the bank point, don't sit at my table. Usually some Asian guy wants to be the bank. In those cases, I either sit out so he can't win much money or put 10 times his bet out there so he will really sweat and suffer if he loses. Makes me angry for someone other than the casino to want to win my money. Usually turns out a draw but I won a $500 hand that way once and the dude split.
