To correct some misconceptions, though, you pay 5% on winning bets, but nothing on losers, so that comes out to around a 2.5% casino edge, except that the house wins pushes, which happen occasionally on the up hand. Good point on the up hand draw. As for the be the bank point, don't sit at my table. Usually some Asian guy wants to be the bank. In those cases, I either sit out so he can't win much money or put 10 times his bet out there so he will really sweat and suffer if he loses. Makes me angry for someone other than the casino to want to win my money. Usually turns out a draw but I won a $500 hand that way once and the dude split.
