A co-worker homeschools her kids, and they seem like normal, well-adjusted kids. They socialize with other homeschooled kids in the neighborhood and they do a lot of reading.

She's not super religious or intolerant, and I've never really asked why she went the homeschool route instead of the normal school route. But the kids seem ok.

Plus, there's such high quality teaching materials available for free on the web these days.
