I made my own muesli this weekend. I think that is granolaier than granola.
ETA I don't want to buy a ton of tote bags for the paper. I only do the recycling trip like once every month or two, and that's a lot of junk mail/paper packaging/etc.
If one is walking to/from the store, tote bags that go over the shoulder are much more comfortable for carrying than either paper or plastic.

are you arguing here that you are a granola or that you are not a granola? You lost me about halfway through. I will tell you, from independent knowledge, that you are not a granola. I wouldn't think that you are a faux-granola wannabe, but maybe you can convince me of this.
If you are shopping at Ralph's for anything, you are not a granola.
Granolas only shop for items that they cannot grow for themselves. The once every month or two trip would not be the recycling trip, but would be the trip to a local, enviro-friendly fresh air market for provisions to take back to the compound.
