All karma means is that you reap what you sow (for better or worse), either in this life or the next. So you can't "hurt" your karma.
I doubt that anyone working at this restaurant would care if you showed up with your usual flask of Jaeger, provided that you kept your mouth shut, or if not, spouted off semi-amusing non-sequiturs like you do here.
So signs point to yes, you should travel equipped with alcohol at all times, just in case. The people around you will probably thank you. And the effect on your karma will probably be positive, or at worst, negligible.
