You are right, she hasn't been banned. But it's my understanding that she asked to be deleted because none of the moderators or administrators on this board would promise her that her posts would not be altered to include information that she finds offensive and/or potentially outable.
It's one thing to edit a post to remove offensive or outable information. I have no problem with that at all. It's purely another thing for a moderator to edit somebody's post to ADD information that is insulting, offensive and potentially outable. If anybody had done to me what was done to her this weekend, I would do a hell of a lot more than just ask for my account to be deleted.
