I want to know one thing. Can my posts be edited by a moderator or admin to add (add, not remove) information that I find to be offensive? Especially something that is not related to either my post or anything that I have publicly posted on any of these boards?
I don't care if a moderator wants to post under their moniker something insulting about me. I can deal with that. But if a moderator has carte blanche to do whatever the fuck s/he wants to do with my posts, then I want to know about that before I post.

Can? Yes, moderators and administrators have the technical ability to edit posts and do so from time to time.
Will? No, for the most part moderators and administrators do not have carte blanche to edit posts unless there is something outable or objectionable in the posts. For example, I edited a Taxwonk post that I felt was overly threatening to the President. Ty edited a Diane Keaton post that contained disturbing images of dead bodies after a poster complained about them. I have deleted posts at the request of the posters. Ty, from time to time on the politics board, will add (with his signature) editorial commentary to posts. I cannot guarantee that posts will not be altered by moderators and administrators, but it has been made clear to every admin and moderator after lengthy discussion on the mod board that it is NOT ok to alter posts and/or profiles without grave cause and consideration and/or the consent of the poster.
