It's not that s/he should die, but Darwin teaches that statistically s/he is more likely to die because, over time, we cull the genetically weak from the herd. Consider it evolution in action - buying an a huge ass SUV makes it more likely you will run over your kids, just like children of parents who make the decision not to buy trigger locks for their guns are more likely to shoot themselves accidentally.
In other words, someone left a steamer in the gene pool.
