Did we talk about
What Should I Do With My Life? by Po Bronson here. I vaugely remember a conversation, but I can't find it.
I loved that book in a way that I never thought I'd love a so-called self-help book. I don't think it really qualifies as self-help, since he's not really offering suggestions, but just showing how other people have approached making life-altering decisions. He tends to not stand too far from the people that he writes about, which makes the story that much more personal. Sometimes he even offers advice or tries to help out. I gave it to my sister after I read it last year, when she was making some life changes, and I haven't seen it since.
Anyhow, I got an e-mail from his mailing list today that his new book
Why Do I Love These People? : Honest and Amazing Stories of Real Families. It looks like it's a similar approach to telling stories of real people, but looking at the way that families interact with one another and how people's relationship with their family has developed over the last 20 years.
He has a lot of information on the book on his
website, and I'm really looking forward to reading it.
