If I may, since I am at home with an ill 2 and a half year old, disagree...
It lasts until they realise that you are a seperate person from them. And then, well, then they want to put sparkly butterfly clippies in your hair, and little clippies with purple and blue hair sticking out of them in your hair, and you will sit down at the computer to see what all your internet friends are doing, moments after your sick two and a half year old goes to bed, and you will realise that you still have those damn clippies in your hair.
And you will not feel the least bit peaceful.
