So this week I've been looking more seriously, and I'm finding that I don't qualify for all the juicy rebates. My question is (and those who have one can help me here): will I like it enough to justify spending $400? I have to pay for it myself, and can't deduct it as a business expense. I'm also thinking I won't get a data plan because I'm not away from my computer enough to justify it.
Am I better off just upgrading my Palm and my phone, for less total $$?
Alternatively, does anyone know a way around the fine print, or a place that sells the 650 for cheap?

If you're out of contract with your carrier, or it's about to expire, you could also call them and ask to speak with someone in the retention department. Do a little research and find an offer for the phone you want with a different carrier and ask them if they can beat it, otherwise you're thinking of changing carriers. Also check
www.amazon.com (use the lawtalkers link) and check out other phones there, usually require 1 year committment and a new carrier, but you caN sometimes even make money and get a new phone in the process.
