  • I have seen this film, it opened in the UK a few weeks ago, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Of the Ehle/Firth version I have to concur with a correspondent to The Guardian, "Does anyone else have the same problem I do with the quality of the videotape? I have watched mine a mere 160 times and it is already starting to show signs of wear. Terrible.

I am conflicted about this movie. I love P&P but don't want to be disappointed with this movie in comparison to to Colin Firth version. Perhaps I should pull out my DVD and watch it again. (The good thing about the DVD is that you don't have to worry about the VHS wearing out.)

I'll have to wait for another Firth version fan to see it first and review it.
