I remember driving with four buds across TX, high as kites, long-haired, loaded for party, and sort of in mortal terror of the infamous anti-liberal Texan po-lice.
I had a beer up to my lips as we rounded a slow curve. There sits a Ranger (?) staring right at me from his front seat, about fifteen feet away.
Hearts stop. Hands tremble. I'm sure one of us, at least, peed in our pants a little bit. Midnight Express, here we come.
Ranger raises his own beer, salutes us with it, and pulls out, going the other way.
