If I had a basketball jones ("so, baby, ooh-ooh-ooooh"), I probably would have. However, despite the fact that older brother Not Nick was a high school hoops legend, I just can't seem get into watching the game as an adult.* Probably because I sucked at it as a lad.
(Of course, I couldn't hit the curve ball** as a lad, and yet I love baseball.)
*As a kid, I loved the Knicks. And I got Meadowlark Lemmon's authograph.
**Nor could I hit the fastball or the change-up. And my fielding was weak, too. And in my one game on the mound, I walked in enough runners to invoke the 10 run rule. Other than that, I had serious game.
