Black Tie Invited

I guessed right: I think only the wedding party were wearing tuxes.

What's the tux-wearing ethic in LA? This was DC, where probably people are a bit more likely to wear tuxes. But this was also DC in the summer, where people are more inclined to wear tube tops and spaghetti strap camisoles.
If I were DebtSlave (which I'm NOT -- hence the subjunctive), I would feel compelled to point out that the guests are supposed to wear attire that is equally as formal as what the wedding party is sporting. If the groom is wearing a tux, then the guests should be wearing something equally as formal (and, if I were Debt Slave, I would have to add here that the tuxedo is really no more formal than a dark suit, and to dictate to your invitees what to wear assumes that your invitees are barn-bred rubes, and is really rather rude, don't you know...).

Aren't you glad I'm not Debt Slave?
