She should definitely be hitting me in the face. But headgear doesn't protect against split lips, black eyes and broken noses. It just (allegedly) lessens the chances of brain damage (and it is a little harder to break a cheekbone or a nose with it on). I was just pleased with myself for being such a tough guy. Turtle shells are plastic things that look like turtle shells that go into your sports bra to fit over your boobs.
