They were slow to deny it when it was clear that they were going to lose, but they pretty much stopped fighting in early May, 1945. That's all I meant. Israel could occupy Lebanon and Hezbollah would continue an insurgency.

I don't really get what he's saying.
That said, Hezbollah is a political party, but one that represents a particular religious group -- Shi'as in Lebanon.
