Yes. I pay far more in taxes now than I did when Clinton was in office.
But seriously, why do you think your taxes would have gone up with Gore in office? Especially if one or both houses of Congress was held by the republicans?

If I expected to die in the next three years, I might agree with you, but how long do you think Bush's fantasyland fiscal policy will hold? You're going to be paying for the current wild spending in a matter of years, not decades.
