I think I finally understand where you were coming from a few weeks ago.
You were upset NOT because TM said you weren't pretty, but rather, because he lied about the fact that you ARE pretty. And he did it in a nasty way.
This means that you met with TM and subjected yourself to his appraisal NOT because you were seeking validation, but rather, you were just meeting so that he could verify your prettiness. No more, no less. It's the fact that he lied that set you off.
