But, but, but, but it is a fucking bitch being the adult. How fucking wrong is it that I, me, this fucker, has become so fucking uber-rational that I analyze every opportunity to the point that I talk myself out of any action . For example, I went to a big Octoberfest event tonight, and I met a chick who was so incomprehensibile and incoherent that I felt like a skeezy older-dude talking to her, like I was setting up trying to fuck her when she was passed out. As opposed to just going "dude, passed out chick, can I go first?"

And it was me - loser - that was the hesitant party the other night. It was me who recognized that- if my friend was throwing herself at me, it had nothing to do with me - but it was about her relationship with her ex-something. And I was the loser who - when she threw herself at me - stopped it short to discuss her reasons for her behavior. How lame am I that I arrested a fuck-me juggernaut because I wanted to make sure that our friendship would survive whatever happened?

I do have an inarguable truth:

But seriously, how was the sex? Isn't the whole point of going to Cuba that there are a lot of part-time prostitutes there? Not that kind that actually *charge* you but the kind that go back to your hotel with you and ask for "taxi money" in the morning? Why would you want to curtail your options by sleeping in the same room as a past/potential hookup? Get 2 rooms and keep your options open.
