Breaking News -- 96 year old dies!!

Was it breaking news on CNN or something? He was a huge deal in the golf world. Like an Arnie dying or a Nicklaus dying, though I admit that he is very old (what I read was 94, but still very old). The PGA stop in Dallas is named after him and he has attended the tournament and watched the play at 18 since they named it after him. His presence was the main reason that tourney got any big name players, I believe.
Anyway, the answer to Hank's question is I knew he was still alive, though my death pool picks don't reflect that (and surprisingly Mr. Man's do not either). I think I had him on my list one year, but I'm too lazy to go back and search.
