Interestingly, a number of Rs on this board have argued that Clinton's blow job from Monica Lewinsky constituted rape because of his position of power over her. I would disagree -- she was a college grad, of legal age for basically anything, and being star-fuck-struck doesn't equal being a rape victim.
But a 16-yo boy does present a different problem. Not that the Rs here are rushing to point it out, of course.
eta: All that said, it is my sincere hope that Rs -- here and everywhere -- will stand on the "age of consent in DC" argument. Please, Spanky -- make it happen. 'twould be another triumph for the willfully dim-witted.

I don't know about other people on this board, but I never said it was rape. But I have heard feminists make that argument about other similar cases. In addition, many feminists used to argue that a male having sex with a subordinate was automatically harassment. Funny how all those arguments disappeared after Clinton was serviced in the White House.
As far as I am concered the only laws Clinton broke was committing perjury and obstructing justice.
The difference between the Republicans and the Democrats is that you circle the wagons around your guys where we push ours right out. If Clinton were a Republican the party leadership would have demanded that he resign the second it was shown that the allegations were true.
Gingrich, Livingston etc. were all thrown out like trash when scandals came to light. This guy left Congress right away. If he were a Dem he would be trying to hold onto his seat.
