I am bookmarking this for future reference. One of the meanings of "pimpin" is "a name you call somebody else" as in "come pimpin, we gotta go." I think that's how she uses it. And I think she uses two definitions of "holla back": in the halls as a response to a holla and as a goodbye or when ending a conversation. After writing a nice apology note to a teacher I know she likes, she ended it "Holla back, pimpin!"

This reminds me that school starts next week, meaning I start tutoring again. I predict that within the first half hour back with my girl I will hear both "Ah, I don't want you here this year" and "Why didn't you visit me this summer?"
