I'm really not sure what this country is good at making. Not cars (5 years behind Japanese/Euro cars); Not steel (50 years behind the times); Not clothes; Not electronics; Not housing (all new houses are built like shit).
I've got it: golf courses. Man, can we build a golf course.
I think our economy thrives b/c of advertising and the service industry. That's it. We're not the most productive country in the world. But we're the best advertisers. We're told that we NEED things we don't need.
