Last night, I turned on SportsCenter to watch the highlights of the wonderful, fantastic, might-as-well-have-been-our-playoff game I'd gone to see earlier that evening.
SportsCenter was obessed with Plexico Burress. Now, I understand that there'd be some bruhaha over a professional athlete who was stupid enough to shoot himself in the thigh. I also understand why the state of New York would be interested in indicting someone who violated handgun laws (and I was somewhat suprised to find that
Texas has a stance on unlicensed weapons also...I just assume everyone's armed and no one officially cares.).
But why the perp walk? The man turned himself in. Obviously the only person he's a danger to is himself. This wasn't some great investigative coup by the New York Police Department.
It almost makes me want the grand jury not to indict him.
