I learned today that this phenomenon has a name. "Sexting". Apparently, 20% of teens and 33% of young adults send each other nude or semi-nude pics.
This is nice and all, but having aged out of this demographic already, I suppose there's not much more we can do but wait until the trend spills over onto Facebook. |
Aged out of what? Everybody has photos of their SOs nude these days (correction... I have them of her, not the other way around [which is more than fine with me]). What I'm mad about is our generation never accepted a structure where you could ask for sex so casually. Without getting slapped.
We need a world where you can just politely ask someone to have sex. Nothing untoward. No skeevy sex club stuff. Just a laid back type of a place with normal people who want to fuck, where anyone can just approach somebody else with the implicit understanding that you want to get to fucking sooner rather than later. Sooner being measured in fifteen minute increments. The kids and their sexting... That is the online equivalent of such a place. And of that, yes, I am insanely, raging jealous.
