Flinty would not say something is an "abortion." Unless it were an abortion, non-metaphorically speaking, of course. And even then, he would try to come up with some more polite way of saying it. Like he would call it a "procedure" or something. But not Muggs. He has a computer problem? It's an abortion. His car has a flat tire? It's an abortion. His secretary uses too much teeth? Abortion. Anyhoo, despite everything written here so far, the Bad Plus do a cover of Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb that was fantastic live. With vocals, even. I will be purchasing their upcoming CD on the strength of this tune alone. You people should go see the Bad Plus because it is jazz and will make you classy, but they do covers of Pink Floyd and the Pixies and a mean cover of Iron Man and you will like that, because you will laugh while secretly really enjoying it because you love the song Iron Man.

Dar Williams (with backing vocals from Ani DiFranco!) does a cover of Comfortably Numb. It is not a trainwreck -- perhaps you have heard it on "Acoustic Estrogen" on Sirius/XM?
