that implies to me that you were offering those choices based upon their past work. with Woody Allen, I guess you ain't arguing, plus, once he started fucking his girlfriend's adopted seventeen year old, I have trouble laughing at some of the earlier "genius" movies; one in particular.
On M of Life, I don't think it worth being on the list. It was a great try, but ultimately too uneven. Plus, by then their humor was a bit played out. You're younger than me. Was that the first monty python you saw, because I'd say the first MP thing one sees will be on some top list forever.
