manners question
sometimes at a nice restaurant, if my food has a very tasty sauce on it, I might run my finger in the sauce left after the entree is gone and then lick it off. I'll do it a few times. often when I do this a waiter or bus boy that had been inattentive will suddenly show up wanting to clear the plate.
am i paranoid or are they trying to stop soemthing that other patrons find objectionable? if so, isn't that rude to me? I recognize that my behavior is not examplary but wonder who Ms. Manners would find most out of proper norms of restaurant manners.
