I know of less a half dozen left in Massachusetts, mostly ones frequented by students late at night. There are a couple in Boston catering to urban professionals looking for pricey comfort food (not the $1.99 special). A dozen years ago, perhaps, most towns had one, but they were fading even then.
Most of my favorites are gone.
