It also bugs me when people who have lots of stomach fat do crunches. How much can those relatively small muscles burn? It is far more efficient to use your largest muscles if you want to burn the most fat.
My brother lost 40 pounds and really went from flab to rock hard fit without every getting on a bike or running. Now that he is in good shape he bikes for fun, but returns to lifting when he feels his weight getting in the way.
Me, I'm an armchair fattie. My Wii Fit groans when I step on it and then squeals like a small Asian woman at the all you can eat buffet "you too fat, you leave and don't come back."

I think people make this too complicated. Penske went to the show twice, weighing a buck forty dripping wet coming off his taper with 3% body fat, on three guiding principles (and no books)....
no pain no gain;
go big or go home and cry in the fucking corner;
go fast or die (shout out to the rockfish!).
That would be the sum and substance of the "Penske guide to fitness".
Of course the midskools and nu-skools here don't realise that before Penske was Penske he was tonystark and GFSK and in a homage to the same, in the lyrics of GhostFace, Your boy Penske getting fat now
he got the fat stomach and laid up, eating and drinking good now.......
Boo yah.
