Several of the local brewpubs feature play areas; nothing quite so formal (i.e., no fee per kid and no supervision or organized activities). They do very well.
The layout and the attending parents dictate whether I'll go or not. One place we tend to frequent. Another I won't go near, even though they have great beer (wayyyyyy too many oblivious parents paying no attention as their kids run back and forth from the play area, around tables, etc.).
