I'm not sure why I'm so squeamish about being the knocked-up bride. It wouldn't even register with me if I were an attendee at a shotgun wedding, but being one of the parties in the shotgun wedding makes me a little, um... embarrassed? (I probably shouldn't admit that.)

I've never done it before, so I don't know how I'd be, but I can almost never hear the vows because the bride and groom are so scared they can barely talk. I imagine were I to do it, I'd just stare at him and try to forget that everyone else is there.
Of course, my boyfriend really liked the approach in
Rachel Getting Married. "Do you?" "Yes" "Do you?" "Yes." "You may now kiss the bride." There actually was very little about the wedding from that movie that we didn't like.
I don't recommend it for a bride-to-be. Too much drama that doesnt' need to be attracted. Sort of like how shortly after I watched
The Money Pit for the first time since becoming a home-owner, I had to replace a sewer line, an air conditioning unit, and will soon need a new roof.
