if i may intrude into your marital political body, i suggest having the husband choose a costume fully independent of your nun costume. my wife was once Lucy and I became "Ricky". "Ricky" is a guy in a suit talking funny. I felt unimaginative, and an accessory. It was years ago, but I wonder if i don't still carry some slight grudge for not being more in the mix that night
and, lest you think me non-romantic, we have had wonderful couple's costumes- one year Gilligan and the Skipper as an example. those couple's costumes that have worked, however, set us up as full partners.
and by the way, this may be your best year for gilligan and the skipper. YWIA practice "C'mon lil buddy."
