Thanks for all of the great suggestions for food.
We had the cocktail party yesterday, which was a smashing success. Because of the LMA's scheduling snafu and my near-death experience, I opted out of cooking, instead ensuring we had enough champagne.
By the end of hour 4, we had switched to wine, and I had switched to cabbing home.
For my next party, filled, one would presume with a slightly different ratio of women to men than 4 to 1, food will be more important and I will look forward to preparing your suggestions.
