Sidd- now here's the wild card- iron chef requires ability to adapt basic recipes by change on the fly- I figure Wonk and fugee fall out ((even though making semis is very impressive) final four wonk!) because they seem most married to precise recipes-
the final breaks down this way- I think the cooking sidd talks about is more me, but RT seems the least tied to a recipe- OTOH the theme food will impact too-
In the end, assuming the theme doesn't wildly favor one of them I think Sidd would win by 1 point, simply because of the tastes i have- totally unfair.

You know nothing. I haven't used a precise recipe since I was 14. I tend to like some cookbooks for their anthropological value. On the other hand, I would probably not win because I make really good food, but I specialize in basic food.
I think truffles taste like dirt, I tend to hate cheeses other than Cheddar, Swiss, and the other basics. Anything that has a crust, green veins, or maggots is not going to ever appear in my repertoire. I hate liver in all forms other than liverwurst, and offal is spelled that way for a reason.
On the other hand, I can walk into virtually any kitchen and, if it has a few basics, I can whip up a meal that will make you think Mom stopped by. I can do steak houses better for a third of the cost. And I think my barbecue has, literally, a coast-to-coast reputation.
So, have your little contest. Coltrane and I will be happy to sit on the sidelines, washing down my brisket and red beans and rice with a few cold ones.
But thanks for playing.
