I've known a lot of artists. Many end up waiting tables or being bike messengers or doing graphic design and bitching about "controlled creativity." Or teaching kids who they don't like. Artists who are successful (I don't mean rich, just enough to live off their art) seem pretty happy, but are few and far between.

Chefs? Seriously? Cooking school, like most vocational schools, is a bigger rip-off than law school.
