Is it just me or were this year's best picture nominees head an shoulders better than last year? Last year we have a sci fi fantasy with comically bad dialog and little discernible story vs. an intense war picture that sadly had nothing to say.
This year, there seemed to be ten films with legitimate emotion and insight (although I've not seen them all).
