Well, I knew she was interested in one eventually. Keep in mind that she told me she had dates lined up with three other guys.

Probably. But that's not where we are here. I went on a date and said that I would like to be able to say that woman B was terrible but she wasn't. And that I would have to think about whether I wanted to go out with her again.
As has been said, I was screwed the moment I told A about the date with B. Because she was going to ask, and I wasn't going to lie to her.
And I'm still fine with her going on the dates she said she had scheduled until we agree to be exclusive. But if we haven't, then I going to ask B out again.
