Why not go to another derm? It can take forever to get an appointment in these parts but if you say "I'm afraid I have a (pre)cancerous lesion" you may get in more quickly. Although rushing through appointments is unfortunately all too typical, if you don't like the vibe from the guy, don't have him treat you, even if the internet says he's the best doctor in the world.
